Temperature Thermister, aka temp sensor for the Watkins made Solana and Hot Spot hot tubs from 2003 forward. This sensor has a 3/8" bulb and a two wire, four pin JST plug that connects to the circuit board. Its job is to communicate the temperature to the spa control and is an integral part in heating your spa. Normally found mounted in the side wall of your tub either just above the spa pack or in the filter area. May be a small piece of foam zip tied around it to insulate it.
Compatible with the Cedric, Hawk and S-Class systems also known as the 73859, 72469, 76840 and 76091.
A common failure of this part is an inaccurate temperature reading. For example: If your spa water says 115 degrees but when checked with a thermometer its actually 100 degrees then its time to replace this sensor.
